Getting Home From the Ride
Our finish line for all route distances is at:
Town Hall Fire Department
After you cross the finish line in Cape May in a blaze of glory, well... how are you getting home with your bike?
Have a Friend Pick You Up
(Oh, they say they can't pick you up because they're too busy? Are you sure they are your friend?)
Our finish line is wonderful, but not particularly exciting if you're not a cyclist. If your friend arrives in Cape May early we recommend that they enjoy this lovely town. You call them when you're ready for pick up.
If your friend wants to partake in the post-ride food and beer we will sell them a pass on the spot: $50. (That is our cost). Payment is by cash, Venmo, or Zelle. No checks, no credit cards.
Need Transport to ATLANTIC CITY or PHILADELPHIA for Your Bike and You?
We will have departures heading back to Atlantic City at:
1:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m.
7:00 p.m.
You'll travel by bus, which will be followed by a truck with your carefully loaded, fully-assembled bike.
The buses and trucks will make four stops in Atlantic City:
* The Showboat Casino overflow parking lot.
* The bus station (which is located at Caesar's Palace).
* The train station (in case you're headed back to Philadelphia)
* The Golden Nugget parking garage.
Sign up for return transportation during online registration.
Need Transport Back to NYC?
Just take the transport back to Atlantic City (see above). Be sure to tell our finish line crew that you want your bike to go to New York City.
When you get to Atlantic City hop off at the Caesar's Palace/bus station stop. From there you can catch one of the many bus departures to NYC. You can see the current schedule here. You pay for your bus ticket from Atlantic City to NYC on the spot. Do NOT buy a bus ticket in advance. (Because no one -- NO ONE -- can guarantee what time they'll finish pedaling).
We will transport your bike the day after the ride (Sunday) back to Manhattan. We'll meet you at 11 a.m. at Madison Square Garden to return your bike to you. There is NO ride-day bike return to NYC.
Don't Go Home -- Move to Cape May for the Rest of Your Life
Not a bad idea...
