The Escorted Rides

We offer optional escorted versions of each route.

Expert leaders will ride with your group to cheer you on and help you conquer the ride.  

If you would rather do the ride on your own, that's great!  If you want to do the escorted version of the ride, no need to tell us in advance -- just register as usual. On ride day be at the Atlantic City start line no later than 8:00 a.m. and we'll shout out to gather those who want to do the escorted ride. The pace of the escorted rides will be moderate.

If we think you are not going to finish your chosen route in time we will gently say so, and you can switch mid-ride to a shorter route.

It is quite common for people to start with the escorted group and then decide during the ride that they would rather peel off and pedal on their own. Nothing wrong with that -- just tell your escort leaders so the they don't worry about you.
